Note ms. au dos du montage : 'copies after Fra Bartolommeo Fogg Art Museum inv. 1932-140 v. , Uffizi 401 F' C. Fischer. Dessin représentant une étude du Saint Jean enfant de la 'Pala del Gran Consiglio' de Florence, Museo di San Marco, et considéré par C. Fischer (cat. exp. Disegni di fra Bartolommeo e della sua scuola, Florence, Galleria degli Uffizi, 1986, pp. 104, 105, 110) comme une copie d'atelier. D'autres dessins de la même composition sont conservés à Florence, Galleria degli Uffizi (n. 401 F, n. 1206 E, n. 460 E).
